Sunday was unexpectedly Sunny, but a combination of the previous days spooky avalanche conditions, and a late start kept Hunter, Max and I from skiing anything too spicy. We opted for Summit Lake, and ended up skiing across from lake on a slope who’s name remains unfamiliar but had provided plenty of quality turns over thanksgiving weekend. The late afternoon horizontal sunshine with the 8 inches or so of new snow was a fantastic combination. After a couple laps we headed down the road and took a run down a little tree slot on Fresno, which a couple different groups seemed to be enjoying. I may put some video up later, as its stormy again and the current chances of midweek skiing are grim.
